What this format is
Puts several activities in one GPX file, each as its own track. Useful when a device split a long day into pieces.
How to get the file
- From Garmin Connect
- 1. Export each activity as GPX or FIT, then drop them together.
- From Strava
- 1. Export each activity, or convert a bulk zip first and pick the files you want.
What is kept and what is lost
| Kept | Lost or missing |
|---|---|
| All points, names, and sensor data from each file | Original separate files — download those before you merge if you still need them |
Questions
Does order matter?
Yes. Each file becomes its own track, in the list order. Use the arrows to reshuffle before you run.
Can I mix FIT and GPX?
Yes. FIT and TCX are converted on the way in, then merged as GPX tracks.
Is it one continuous activity?
It is one file with several tracks. Apps that read the first track only will not stitch the day together — use Combine FIT for that.
